This is a project I've begun in an attempt to "marry" two concepts: Rush's "Clockwork Angels" story (both on CD and the book) and the Tarot. The narrative of the tarot (i.e. the journey of the fool) closely resembles that of Owen Hardy in the book. Combined with occult symbols on the cover and the words, themes, and concepts of the music and lyrics are in my mind begging to be told via the tarot.
Over the coming days, and weeks (hopefully NOT months) I'll be sharing with you my journey, and, as I develop card sets, showing you pictures and hopefully getting some feedback from both the Rush and the Tarot communities as to your thoughts.
In addition, I'm wondering how many stories there are out there (both in novel and in movie form) that could lend well to the Tarot.
I must say before I venture onward that this project is for my purposes only: I will NOT be selling these cards as I do not have a license to reproduce the pictures or the ideas from either the music or the book. I'm simply experimenting with the concept and sharing the process with the world.
